I’m feeling much improved energy-wise than yesterday, but did not quite motivate yet for a run. However, I did talk J into walking out to Wholefoods. In the immediate neighborhood, the stores or not that far. Albeit, it’s not close like in some denser East Coast Cities, we still got over 2.3 miles in. I did this in place of my normal workout, but doing so in addition would be a great way to increase endurance and get the body used to being more frequently active. Riding a bike to and from work is also a great idea and they are all green ideas too, saving gas and improving health while decrease our footprint on the environment. Consider that it’s also relaxing, reducing stress and slows down our pace of life just a little. It’s win-win-win all around! So, next time you are heading out to a store or restaurant, consider walking somewhere closer – anywhere within a mile to mile and a half is easily feasible.
What other simple things can we do on a daily basis to improve fitness?
